| Over the years I have met mothers who after giving birth, whose
only memory of their first couple of moths home with their
newborn is how stressful and terrifying at all was. They have
difficulty remembering the joys of those moments. Vividly
imprinted in their minds are the worry, stress, fear and feeling
of loneliness. It is my goal to change that. It is my mission
that after leaving a new mother, they should be equipped with
not only the knowledge they need to cope, but also the tools to
make the transition memorable.
There is a lot of guilt associated with whether I am doing the
right thing for my newborn for every mother. I aim to make each
mother's indecision, for example, of whether to breast feed or
bottle feed, a stress-free one. Providing her with all the
information, tools, and tricks of the trade I have learned over
the years. Making her decision, one she is comfortable with.
All this is providing teaching and tools to cope with one of the
most stressful periods of her life. One she can look back on,
have fond moments to be able to smile about. It will be our
journey together. |
